The Daughters of
Charity have been in the New Orleans area since the early 1800’s
providing essential healthcare to the community. After the sale
of Hotel Dieu Hospital in 1992, the Daughters transitioned their
efforts, establishing a community health ministry known today as
Daughters of Charity Services of New Orleans (DCSNO).
DCSNO provides primary and preventative care
for infants, children, adults and seniors. Healthcare centers are
located through the city and patients can receive care for chronic
illnesses such as asthma, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and
depression. Behavioral/mental health and pharmacy services are also
available.
DCSNO is a member of Ascension Health,
the nation’s largest Catholic and nonprofit healthcare system.
Together we are transforming healthcare by providing the highest
care to all, with special attention to those who are poor and vulnerable. |
