Daughters of Charity Health Centers and Pediatric Centers are conveniently located in Algiers, Bywater, Carrollton,  Gentilly, Gretna, Kenner, Louisa, Metairie, New Orleans East and Prytania.  We offer primary and preventive health services to all—with special attention to the poor and vulnerable. 

Daughters of Charity Health Centers offer:

  • Primary Medical Care for All Ages
  • Management of Chronic Illnesses
  • Pediatric Services (primary and preventive care for infants, children and adolescents; school, sports and camp physicals; immunizations; well-baby visits; and sick-child appointments)
  • Women's Health (OB/GYN, Prenatal Care, Centering Pregnancy Groups)
  • Behavioral Health
  • Full-Service Dental Care (Bywater, Carrollton and Gentilly health centers only)
  • Eye Care (Carrollton health center only)
  • Pharmacy Services for Daughters of Charity Health Center Patients
  • Women, Infants and Children (WIC) (Bywater and Carrollton health centers only)

Payment Information

All Daughters of Charity Health Centers proudly accept Commerical Insurance, Medicaid and Medicare.

A sliding fee scale (discounted fee schedule) also is available for those who qualify.

Self-Pay/Uninsured medical and behavioral health patients who qualify (those whose household income is between 100% and 200% of Federal Poverty Guidelines) pay a nominal $35 fee for office visits. Lab fees are separate, additional costs.
Self-Pay/Uninsured dental patients who qualify (those whose household income is between 100% and 200% of Federal Poverty Guidelines) pay a nominal $55 fee for dental visits, which include an eye exam, x-ray and treatment plan).
